Sunflower oil naturally contains Omega 6 which is a polyunsaturated fatty acid, also called linoleic acid. Linoleic acid helps in maintaining healthy cholesterol levels in the blood, when consumed in right level and as a part of a healthy diet.
canola oil
Canola Oil is extracted from the seeds of canola flowers and contains Omega 3 and is high in unsaturated fats. Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in your diet helps in maintaining healthy cholesterol levels in your blood.
palm oil
Palm oil is a part of the Upfield product portfolio. It is a plant oil, derived from the palm fruit. From a sustainability standpoint, palm oil is a highly productive crop, and like many plant oils has advantages compared with many animal-derived foods, as regards climate impact, land use and water use. Palm oil also has unique properties as a food ingredient, in terms of the performance, texture and taste it offers. The recipe of Flora Original consists of just over one third of water. In Flora Light, the proportion of water is slightly larger, which means that it contains at least 25% less fat than Flora Original. Flora Buttery, on the other hand, is extra creamy as it contains more vegetable oils than Flora Original.
emulsifiers
Emulsifiers are listed in the ingredient declaration as mono and diglycerides fatty acids and soy lecithin. We can mix the vegetable oils in Flora with water with the help of emulsifiers. This ensures that Flora consists of oils, but does not contain too much fat.
citric acid
Citric acid is a natural ingredient that keeps Flora fresh longer and guarantees the correct acidity level. Citric acid is a food acid that ensures that antioxidants and preservatives can do their job well. This allows you to keep Flora longer.
natural flavors
To give Flora its natural, tasty flavor the recipe contains flavours. These natural flavors are made from natural ingredients which are extracted from natural sources and mixed by our taste specialist to guarantee the unique Flora flavor.
Vitamins
Flora is made with vegetables oils which naturally contain Vitamin E which is an antioxident and contributes to cell protection from free radical damage.
