Dark chocolate and walnut brownies

  • 180 gram Flora Original margarine spread
  • 75 gram cocoa
  • 350 gram caster sugar
  • 4 drops vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs lightly beaten
  • gram plain flour sifted
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 100 gram 70% cocoa dark chocolate solids chopped
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  1. Preheat oven to 160°C. Line a 20 cm x 30 cm swiss roll tin with baking paper.
  2. Mix Flora Spread and cocoa in a large bowl, then add sugar, vanilla and eggs. Mix in remaining ingredients.
  3. Pour into prepared tin and bake for 30-40 minutes until firm but still moist. Allow to cool completely in tin before cutting into squares.
