Buttered green beans with bacon and almonds

Ingredients

  • 50 g Flora Original
  • 100 g shortcut bacon finely chopped
  • 40 g silvered almonds
  • 500 g green beans trimmed
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Melt 20g of the Flora Original in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook, stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes or until almost crisp.
  2. Add the almonds to the pan and continue cooking for a further 2-3 minutes or until bacon is crisp and almonds are golden. Remove from pan
  3. Meanwhile, cook the beans in a saucepan of boiling water for 3 minutes or until tender but still crisp. Drain.
  4. Heat the remaining Flora Original in the same large frying pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the beans and toss to coat in the butter. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Serve the beans topped with bacon and almonds and drizzled with the Flora Original from the pan.
