Ingredients

  • 1 kg floury potato or special potatoes for boiling
  • 40 g FLORA Block Salted
  • 70 ml plant-based milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: fresh chives

Nutritional Guidelines (per serving)

(Nutrition information is calculated using an ingredient database and should be considered an estimate.)

Instructions

  1. Clean the potatoes in water. Put in a pot with enough water to cover them, and a dessert spoon of salt. Tip! If you want the potatoes to cook faster, prick them deeply with a fork, so that the cooking water penetrates to the inside of the potato and saves time.
  2. When the water boils, add the potatoes and keep them boiling for about 20 minutes (it depends on the size of the potatoes, so to see if they are cooked you can prick them with a knife, and they should go in and out easily). If you use the trick, after 15 minutes you can check if they are well cooked.
  3. Drain the potatoes and peel them.
  4. Mash them in a bowl in any way you like: I have done it with a potato masher, so the texture is lighter, and it is quicker for large quantities, but it can be done simply with a fork.
  5. Add FLORA Block Salted, which will melt with the hot potato. Mix.
  6. Add the milk and mix. Then taste to correct the salt if necessary.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle with chopped chives.
